The Opportunity
Alpha Cybershield Pty Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Full-Stack Engineer to design and build secure, AI-enabled platforms for modern enterprises. This role suits an engineer who thrives in cloud-native environments, embraces microservices and serverless architectures, and believes in automating security, infrastructure, and delivery pipelines by default. You will play a key role in engineering secure, scalable systems that protect organizations against evolving cyber threats working across frontend applications, backend services, cloud automation, and AI-driven workflows within a fully remote, high-trust environment.
Key Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in full-stack software engineering
- Strong expertise in React.js, Node.js (JavaScript), and .NET Core (C#)
- Proven experience building microservices-based architectures
- Hands-on experience with serverless and cloud-native Azure services
- Strong scripting and automation skills using Python
- Solid understanding of security best practices in cloud and application design
- Must be based in South Australia
Core Responsibilities
Modern Frontend Engineering
- Design and deliver SEO-friendly, high-performance React.js applications with security built in from day one
- Implement scalable, accessible component architectures that adhere to secure coding standards and OWASP best practices
- Harden frontend applications against common attack vectors (XSS, CSRF, injection, supply-chain risks)
Backend & API Engineering
- Build and maintain secure, resilient APIs and backend services using Node.js (Express) and .NET Core
- Design loosely coupled, independently deployable microservices with strong isolation and fault tolerance
- Implement enterprise-grade authentication, authorization, logging, auditing, and observability patterns
- Ensure APIs follow zero-trust principles and least-privilege access models
Cloud-Native Microservices & Serverless Security
- Develop and operate cloud-native microservices using Azure Container Apps and Azure Functions
- Leverage Dapr for secure service-to-service communication, secrets handling, state management, and pub/sub
- Design event-driven architectures using Azure Service Bus to support secure, reliable, and scalable workflows
Azure Automation & Secure Infrastructure
- Use Python to automate Azure operations, security controls, and platform orchestration
- Support Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) workflows for repeatable, compliant, and auditable environments
- Continuously optimize cloud resources for security posture, scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency
AI-Driven Security & Platform Innovation
- Integrate generative AI and intelligent automation into Alpha Cybershield’s security platforms
- Collaborate on AI-assisted detection, analysis, and response workflows that improve operational efficiency
- Evaluate emerging security tools, AI models, and cloud capabilities to strengthen platform defences
DevSecOps, CI/CD & Cloud Governance
- Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps with security gates and policy enforcement
- Embed automated security scanning, validation, and risk driven checks into delivery pipelines
- Work with Azure API Management (APIM) to securely expose, govern, throttle, and monitor APIs
- Contribute to continuous improvement of cloud governance, risk management, and operational resilience
